What’s your story? What has lead you to this point in your life?
A need to succeed has gotten me to where I am today. I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC. I had to become a responsible adult at the age of 17 due to the loss of my mom to Cancer. I think that loss has led me to this point in my life. I felt I had a choice of making things happen in my life or let things happen to me. My positions while being here include the Call Center, Swansboro Branch, Indirect Lending and the eServices Department. The past couple of years have been a challenge due to being diagnosed with an illness that I refuse to let win.
How do you make banking easy for members?
I give them precise instructions as to how things should be done to gain access to Online Banking and make sure they understand. It doesn’t matter if it’s five minutes, an hour, or two hours as long as they get it.
What do you love about working at Marine Federal?
I love how Marine Federal attempts to make our members debt free and financially responsible. If it helps at least one member a difference has been made.
What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I like to coupon and catch up on all my missed shows.
Tell us about a time you’ve made an impact.
I have a love of couponing and actually have a very nice stockpile. After the Hurricane, I was able to donate lots of items to the shelters and distribution sites that were set up. That made it all worth while.
