Growing up I always wanted to be a journalist, and here I am … far from it. 🙂 I think life leads you down roads you’ve never expected, because you are meant to do things that you don’t intend to do. I never pictured myself working in finance, but I can honestly say that I couldn’t think of a better place for me to be.
Knowing my members in order to meet their needs.
I like to write! I was in the process of writing a post-apocalyptic story, but the hurricane hit, and I lost my train of thought … I will eventually get back to it.
I love the fact that everyone here treats each other like family, and that its a family oriented business. Everyone here is so nice, and they give the feeling that they truly do care about the well being of their team mates and members.
I knew this was going to be asked. I was joking with Joanna and Matthew saying that in my free time I go mountain climbing with my cats. For those of you who know me, you know that is not true!
I like to go on adventures with my daughter. That kid is my p partner in crime! Last year we went to Super-Con in Raleigh, in May we took a long road trip up to New York City and to upstate New York, and this summer we’re going back to Raleigh to see the Backstreet Boys (Backstreets Back Alright!) When we aren’t going on adventures we like to play card and board games, and giving our kitties Yoyo and Cupcake love.

If you could share a meal with four people, living or dead, who would they be?
My grandparents, on both of my parent’s side, it would be amazing to see them together in one spot and to hear their stories of life.I guess that makes up my 4 people, actually its 6 people, but that’s another story for another spot light.
What type of music do you listen to?
Jazz, Classic Rock, and late 90’s early 2000’s pop
Several months ago, a couple came in and asked to see someone in the back. I welcomed them to my desk and asked what they needed. The woman looked at me with tears in her eyes and said that her son had just passed away, and that his credit union was in another state, and she was having difficulty getting to the right department to settle her late son’s affairs. I was able to get in contact with the credit union, and helped with as much as I possibly could. Before the couple left my office, the grieving mother hugged me and thanked me for taking the time to help them in their time of need.
A month or two after their first visit the couple returned to my branch and wanted to personally thank me again, and to thank Jennifer for allowing me to assist them.
I think of them often, and they help me stay grounded. We are all human and we all face difficult trials and tribulations as we proceed in life.
