WHAT’S YOUR STORY? WHAT LEAD YOU TO THIS POINT IN YOUR LIFE?
I started working at Marine FCU in January of 2004 as a part-time teller at the Triangle branch. I moved to a loan processor position and then to head teller, all within the same branch. I worked in the Bookkeeping Department before and I moved from there to the Loan Servicing Department to now being in the Special Operations Department. I have held many roles within the organization through the years. I was awarded Head Teller of the Year twice when those awards were given in the past. Through all of my roles I have gained knowledge that would not have been gained otherwise.
HOW DO YOU MAKE BANKING EASY FOR MEMBERS
I make banking easy by putting myself in the member’s shoes and providing the service that I would want to receive if I was the member. I always listen so that I can find solutions to their needs.
TELL US ABOUT TIME YOU HAVE MADE AN IMPACT
I received a call from our Member Interaction Center regarding a member that had gone to the DMV and was told that our lien was still recorded on the title. Our records showed it was electronically released a month prior. I took it upon myself to call the DMV and discovered an error. Our lien was recorded on the title as the first lienholder and the second lienholder, so when the first lien was released the second lien moved to the first lien. We never received a new title from the DMV to show this. I was able to get everything taken care of for the member and for the new purchaser of the vehicle. They were both thrilled and a problem to them that they thought would never get resolved was taken care of for them.
