10 Years at Marine Federal
WHAT’S YOUR STORY? WHAT HAS LEAD YOU TO THIS POINT IN YOUR LIFE?
“I started at the Credit Union when I was just 19 years old. I left for two years to become a mother and came back in 2010. I always believed hard work pays off and that was proven when I was selected for the Manager -In-Training position in May. I am also a mother of four beautiful children and a stepmom to four boys. I recently got married on June 1, 2019 and I am a student at Coastal Carolina Community College working towards my Associates in Applied Science for Paralegal Studies.”
HOW DO YOU MAKE BANKING EASY FOR MEMBERS?
“I like to put myself in a members position when I make decisions. What I would expect great and easy banking to be is what I like to perform for my members.”
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING AT MARINE FEDERAL?
“Marine Federal is a very family oriented company to work for. I have always been blessed to work with great people who have been supportive and understanding.”
TELL US ABOUT A TIME YOU’VE MADE AN IMPACT.
“One time in particular that I can say I made an impact on an employee is when a younger employee, whom I have always had a great working relationship with, give me a thank you card expressing what a positive influence I have been to them. That really touched me knowing that a fellow employee felt that way.”
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT IN THE OFFICE?
“When I am not in the office I like to spend time with my babies and friends. I also do vinyl art on the side and I love to cook.”
IF YOU COULD WORK ANYWHERE IN THE CREDIT UNION FOR A DAY, WHERE WOULD YOU WORK?
“With me currently changing positions to Manager-In-Training I can say that I am satisfied where I am.”
If you could share a meal with four people who would they be:
“Honestly, I would continue to share the meal with my four children because one day I know that they will grow up so I sure will enjoy them being little and eating with me now.”
Who is your hero? “My hero is my adopted mom Josephine because she raised me to become who I am today.”
What’s your favorite type music?
“Anything but country and metal but you could defiantly find me singing in my car to 90’s music.”
